It is unlikely that there would be an error this late in the season. But what is it?

How do I report a software error in TurboTax on Schedule 5 Form 1040 for the 2018 tax year?

On my 2018 report, I entered my four estimated tax payments which totaled $11040. TurboTax filed my report with a total of $11090. There is no carry over of $50 from my 2017 report and TurboTax shows no additional monies on Schedule 5 Form 1040. Now I have a letter from the IRS stating that I owe $50 plus interest and penalties.

You'll want to print out the copy of your tax return including all worksheets and track down that phantom $50 that got included as a payment.

Gulp! I have to admit the error was mine. I went in to TurboTax and started an amended return. That is where I found my fourth estimated tax payment was inputted as $7994 and should have been $7944. I apparently hit the 9 twice. I wish the payments had been printed out on my return. Anyway Thanks.
