You sent an extension request in May? You were supposed to send in an extension request by the filing deadline in April. What did you do in May, exactly? If you mailed in an extension request in May, then you were too late. If you owe tax due, then you are simply just late now. File your tax return by October 17, 2022 before e-filing closes or you will have to file by mail.
