How do i know if someone claimed me on there taxes?

Ask them.   If you *can* be a dependent then you cannot claim yourself even if that taxpayer does not actually claim you.   That is why there are 2 questions - "can you be claimed" and "were you claimed".

So iff I live alone and I’m not a dependent how do I change that. I did not know what that means.

Amend and change it.  

Amended returns can only be mailed. It is suggested that it be mailed certified with return receipt (or other tracking service) to verify that the IRS receives it.
