Merrill Edge is not showing in the lists for TurboTax and other tax prep software, such as H&R Block. No one here is sure why that is the case.
You should contact your Merrill FA or client services and mention the omission.
Merrill Lynch-Merrill Edge IS an importing partner with TurboTax.
TurboTax Import Partners
If your financial institution is not listed as a TurboTax partner that can import documents, then you may need to download/print a copy of your 1099-R and enter it manually yourself.
You'll get a Form 1099-R if you received $10 or more from a retirement plan. You're required to report a 1099-R on your tax return, even if the distribution isn't taxable.
You can import or upload your 1099-R, or manually enter the information yourself.
Enter/Update/Delete a 1099-R:
Here's how to navigate to the 1099-R section:

Yeah, SORRY but your post is of ZERO help.
We KNOW that Merrill (Merrill Edge) is an import partner BUT it is NOT listed in the dropdown list in the program when it has been listed in prior tax years.
This is occurring in more than just TurboTax (also in H&R Block, for one), so Merrill Edge clients need to contact their FAs or client services (as I already posted above your post if you bothered to read it).
Not Merrill Lynch problem Turbo Tax needs software FIX ASAP.
spoke with Merrill earlier who confirmed it's known to be a Turbotax issue they are working on for "later this week"
@TomK2023 keep seeing unhelpful responses from Intuit folks in this forum, it's clear to anyone paying attention to the issue flow in this forum that this is a common issue that is not user or data related at this point. There have been other posts about import partners not in the drop down, American Express Bank was an example. Please can you take this up internally to get more clarity in the responses.
Intuit spent 100mil on a deal with OpenAI perhaps they could point AI at this forum. There are probably 10 issues making 90% of the posts here and Intuit could just put up a simple FAQ page to help people or provide simple status updates on issues like this.

Amen to this paragraph, @baldietax!
I am having the same issue. I can only see Merrill Trust Managed Accounts.
Merrill advertises Turbo Tax on their website with a 20% discount.

Yeah and they should probably give Intuit (TurboTax) and H&R Block the information those companies need to add Merrill Edge to their import list.
Called Merrill Edge support today. They said an issue was already opened with TurboTax. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. At meantime, they can generate comma separated files for 1099s to import to TurboTax manually. Have been using TurboTax years. It is the first time I experienced such issues.
@gymochin this seems to have been resolved, other users are able to import now. You should see "Merrill" in the import list, if not then restart your Turbotax
Yes, I can confirm that ml.com shows up in the pull down window of 'Your financial institutions'. Thanks!
I saw Merrill on the list in TurboTax software.

It works if your statements are available.
I was having the same problem. Kept looking for Merrill Edge on the brokerage list and not finding it, so I kept using Merrill (that was on the list) trying to import my Merrill's 1099-B into 2025 TurboTax. It kept giving me error. I just tried it again but this time I unchecked all boxes that were pre-checked automatically, then I only check the one account that I needed the import for and it worked!
