Why do you need the old returns? Even if you have the 2009 CD you won't be able to install it or download any state programs you need. Don't you have the pdf files saved?
You could try the TaxPrinter service (not connected with Turbo Tax) to convert a .tax file to pdf at
They might be expensive and it is probably not safe to email tax returns back and forth.
Thanks any way. For most years I saved it as a pdf but I still have some old ones from my kids 2007,2008,2009. After that saved as pdf. It cost $45 for return to convert. I thought Intuit would be kind enough to have a simple conversion program. After all we paid for the original program and they did not develop a backup system.
