Losses are part of Itemized Deductions, so unless you itemize, you wont get any use of your losses.

In order to report your gambling earnings reported on Form W-2G, you'll need to upgrade to TurboTax Deluxe. Form W-2 G is not supported in TurboTax Free Edition.
