How do i get my exception number for being in a Indian tribe?

If you are looking for your exemption to the penalty for not having insurance, you can claim the exemption on your federal income tax return (code E). Please refer to the Healthcare.gov. instructions.

In the Health Insurance section of TurboTax,

·       Go to Did you have a situation that waives the tax penalty for being uninsured

·       under Wasn't required to get insurance 

        select Indian tribe member
