How do I find my 'tax' from form 1040 line 44. I need to know 'parents tax' to finish form 8615 for my kids.

You can preview Form 1040 before filing to find the amount on Line 44.

Choose Review near the top of your screen, and then click Summary right below it.

At the bottom of the We Guarantee Your Maximum Refund screen, click the Preview Return link (see screenshot below).

If you want to preview your entire return (including worksheets), you can download it to your computer as a PDF file to view or print. For this option, choose My Account in the TurboTax header then select Print Center.
