How do I file now, April 15th, without Schedule K-3 which will not be out until June 2025?
What are my options?
Do not enter Schedule K-1 information at all and amend return when Schedule K-3 is released, entering the Schedule K-1 and the Schedule K-3 then?
Or
Enter the Schedule K-1 but do not check Box 16, then amend the return when the Schedule K-3 is released?
This scenario, the IRS may pick up the error of Box 16 not checked when it should be checked.
This scenario, you won't get the errors from TurboTax because you don't have the Schedule K-3 information.
In my situation:
Box 21 Foreign Taxes Paid or Accrued is blank.
I received a Distribution of $18 recorded in Box 19 with code A.
I also have a deferred payment of $6.
I will be filing a paper return.
What is the best thing to do if not the correct way?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
The IRS says you should not file a return knowing it is wrong. You can file an extension of time to file the return. You will need to make any payments due by April 15. You can make Payments and select extension as the reason to secure the extension or file form 4868.
