How do I file my Kentucky state taxes online? It says because I filed federally with my spouse I have to create a separate federal return but it isn't letting me?

Also my spouse has an ITIN, has never lived in the United States. I am in the military and live overseas. Not sure if that changes anything. Would she even have to file state taxes?

1. You need to create a fake federal return as MFS to create the KY return you need to file. 

• If you want to create another online account, you will need to use a different email to create it.
• We recommend using the desktop version because it allows you to create up to 5 federal returns- the state does cost extra. Since you have already filed, you may want to continue with online.

2. Your spouse is not a KY resident and has no KY income, so there is no need to file. Since KY is your home of record, you must file and exempt your military pay.
