How do I file my final state tax return after filing in April for extension?

I filed my state and federal taxes on time in April but applied for an extension on my State return. I tried to update my return in TurboTax but it won't let me file again, saying I already filed. How do I do this?

If you filed your state tax return in April, you cannot e-file another state tax return.  If your state accepted the tax return in April then the only wat to change the tax return is to amend the state tax return.  

Remove all changes you made to the state return before amending the tax return.

You just said you filed the state & fed return in April but then said you filed a state extension ... you could not do both so check the filing status of the state return ... does it say it was accepted?  Did you get an email alerting you to the acceptance of the return or the extension only ?  

If you have already efiled the state return you cannot efile it again ... so did you make any changes to the state return ?  If you did not make any changes and do not need to make changes and your return has already been accepted then you don't need to do anything else.
