@scullyda , the taxation of US sourced income of a person ( for US purposes ) , depends on immigration status of the person.
If I assume that you are Non-Resident Alien, then passive earnings like dividend and interest are generally at a flat 30% and reported using form 1040-NR ( not supported by TurboTax -- suggest using SprinTax or local tax professional familiar with US-Canda tax treaty ).
