No. You can not report your child's wages on your tax return. The child must file a tax return and claim the wages there. Make sure that the child checks the box that says that he can be claimed on someone elses return.

Is the child a first-time filer?  And if so, was the child age 16 by January 1, 2017?      In order to efile the 2016 return, a first-time filer has to be age 16 by January 1, 2017.

Also, if using TurboTax Online,  be sure you use a separate account and separate User ID to file the child's return.  If you try to prepare 2 returns in the same account, it will overwrite the first one.   Both accounts can have the same underlying email address in the Account Settings for notification purposes, but each User ID has to be different.
