How do I file an extension for my taxes?

You can use TurboTax Easy Extension from inside your return by following this steps - 

• Log into your account
• Hit Take Me to My Return
• Underneath Manage My Return, you should see a link to File an Extension (see screenshot)
• Click that link
• Begin your extension

You can also access from Federal Taxes > Other Tax Situations > Scroll down to Other Tax Forms > Select File an Extension

If you need to estimate the amount of taxes you may owe, then you have two options -

1. The best option is to complete as much of the return as possible to get the most accurate idea of if/how much taxes you might owe.  Then, file for an extension and pay the amount of taxes due to avoid interest.
