How do I enter W-2 statitory employee income and multiple1099 income on seperate scedule c

If you have a W-2 with the checkbox for "Statutory Employee" in Box 13 marked, be sure that you have entered that information in your online W-2 data.  Then proceed through the W-2 followup questions until you reach the question Did [Name] have any business-related expenses in 2018? and answer Yes(You will only see this question if the Statutory Employee box is checked.)  TurboTax will link your W-2 to a Schedule C, where you can enter your business-related deductions.

To enter the 1099-MISC and create a separate Schedule C, take the following steps:

  • In your Federal return, choose the tab for Wages & Income
  • Tab through or scroll down to Other Common Income  (you may have to choose Add more income and then See more income to view this topic) and then Show More
  • Start/Revisit Form 1099-MISC
  • Edit your 1099-MISC if you already entered one or more Add it now and enter the information on the form(s) then Continue.

TurboTax will prompt you for the Schedule C information.  If for some reason it does not, then delete the 1099-MISC and start the topic over again.
