How do i download from fidelity investments

You can load information from your financial institution  two ways. If your broker or financial institution is on our list of TurboTax Import Partners, you can securely import your forms into TurboTax.

You can enter your Forms 1099  (e.g., Form 1099-B or Form 1099-DIV), and as you enter them you will be prompted to import them  into TurboTax, or

You can go directly to the import feature by searching for “import” in the search box at the top right of your TurboTax screen.  You will type "import" in the search bar and then select "Jump to import." This will take you to your screen(s) to import your financial data.

If you have your Forms 1099 and want to enter them into TurboTax you can for example , enter a form 1099-INT as follows:

TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Select Federal Taxes tab, then Wages & Income tab.
  3. Click on "I'll Choose What I Work On".
  4. Scroll down to "interest & Dividends" then
  5. select" Start "or "Update" next to "Interest on 1099-INT".
  6. Select "Yes" on the screen "Did you receive any investment income?" Then "Continue".
    • You may see the screen "Your investments & savings" or "" select "Add investments" or "Add another 1099-INT", then Continue.
  7. On the following screen, you will select how you want to enter your Form 1099-INT:
    • If you want to import your form, search for your brokerage or financial institution. Sign in to your online account and select "Get my form".
    • If you want to upload a copy of your form or manually enter the info, select" Enter a different way", and follow the screens to  enter your 1099-INT.

TurboTax Online:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Go to 1099-INT interest income.
  3. Select "Yes" on the screen" Did you receive any investment income?" then "Continue".
    • If you see the screen "Your investments & savings" or "Here's your 1099-INT info", select "Add investment" or "Add another 1099-INT", then Continue.
  4. On the next screen, you will select how you want to enter your Form 1099-INT:
    • If you want to import your form, search for your brokerage or financial institution. Sign in to your online account and select "Get my form".
    • If you want to upload a copy of your form or manually enter the info, select Enter a different way, and follow the instructions to enter your 1099-INT.
