Tax Year Prior to 2020: How do I download 2019 turbo tax to my computer?

BarbaraW22,  I followed your instructions but that did not turn out to be what I thought.  I do not want to do my taxes on TurboTax online.  I just want to load my CD on my computer but when I insert the CD into the little drawer (what ever that's called) nothing comes up on the screen.  I know that it's supposed to come up with a screen where I enter the license code but as I said, nothing comes up.  TurboTax help was no help at all as my question has not been programmed into their data base so it couldn't help me and they are asking $30.00 to talk to a live person.  Do you know how I can access my D: drive so I can get the run program from their index?

Barbara's answer was right.  That is how to download the CD program like if your CD drive is not working or you can't install the CD.    It is not to use the Online version.  You should also have a card in the CD box that says how to download the program instead.

Do not click on the bottom link to Switch to TurboTax Online. That takes you to the Online web versions and not your Desktop download.

If you purchased the software from TurboTax, sign onto your download account with the exact same User ID that was used to purchase the software - https://shopping.turbotax.intuit.com/unified/downloads?route=myaccounts

Are you trying to install from the CD or to download the program?  Windows or Mac?

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back in to the 2019 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
