Answer Yes to confirm.
You can clear it and then abandon TurboTax if you are not going to use it. There is no way to cancel your TurboTax account.

Then you never signed onto the online account.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
i am not working online, im on my own computer/installation.
and if i just delete the file in the windows file utility it does not delete the box from the "continue your 2022 return" page in turbo tax; it just creates an error
You have to delete the 2022 tax data file that is in your Documents directory and in the TurboTax folder. The tax data file has a file extension of .tax2022. The name of the file will have 2022 your First Initial and your last name then 1040 Individual Tax Return. For example 2022 J Doe1040 Individual Tax Return
