How do I clear my state tax return information? I just want to file federal, but now it won't let me delete my information.

I can’t do that because I apparently already “paid” for the free version and now it won’t let me go back to delete. I wasn’t aware I couldn’t go back and now it’s making me file information that’s incorrect.
