in every situation I can think of the loss isn't deductible. your issue is with the insurance company. perhaps if you explain further I would change my opinion but I doubt it.

It's not even clear what you could mean by "robbed of your insurance." What insurance? For what? Who robbed you?

Gvmnt is robbing me. I had marketplace insurance and it said it was going to be based on my tax credits and stuff. I NEVER used the insurance and I want my full refund.
