Do you mean that you want to have less federal income tax withheld from your pay? You change your withholding by giving a new Form W-4 to your employer. The W-4 form was changed a few years ago. It no longer uses allowances, so you no longer "claim 0" or "claim 1" or any other number of allowances. The new form works differently. Use the Tax Withholding Estimator on the IRS web site to figure out what to put on your W-4 form.
Fill in a new W-4 and hand it in to your employer ... there are no more "allowances" on a W-4 form any longer.
