How do I calculate how much per month I’m paying in taxes on imputed income for health insurance to cover my ex spouse?

I am divorced and I see on my pay stub that my employer deducts the cost of my health insurance pre-taxed. Then I see they add the entire amount back in each pay period as imputed income. How can I calculate how much this is costing me monthly or even yearly? I know that my tax bracket my be a factor, but I’m not sure what my tax bracket is right now.

You may want to speak with someone in your HR department to determine what that amount may be. Another method would be to determine how much you would have to pay if you didn't have your ex-spouse on your insurance. You may be able to make a rough guess by looking on your company health insurance to see how much a single person's coverage would be or if it is a family plan, what it would be without your ex-spouse.
