Are you looking for the educator expenses adjustment/deduction?
Eligible educators can deduct up to $250 (per spouse) of qualified out-of-pocket expenses paid in 2019. Neither spouse can deduct more than $250 of his or her own qualified expenses. Eligible educators include kindergarten through grade 12 teachers, instructors, counselors, principals, or aides in a school for at least 900 hours during a school year. Qualified expenses include books, supplies, equipment (including computer equipment and software), other materials used in the classroom, and professional development courses related to the curriculum taught by the educator. No deduction is allowed if the expenses are reimbursed by the employer and not included in box 1, Form W-2. Learn more in IRS Publication 17.
