How can I start a new Federal tax filing with my TurboTax Deluxe purchased from Sam's Club?

I have submitted one Federal filing already, but ready to start a new one. There is no option to begin with another filing.

You seem to be posting from online TurboTax.   Did you actually download your desktop software and use it?   If so, you open your TurboTax software from your own hard drive, then go up to the top of your screen and click "File" then click "New Tax Return" to start a new return using your desktop software.

We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end.   You need to use the desktop software.   One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar.   Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen.   Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.

Up in the left hand corner, click on the File menu.   Then from the dropdown, choose New Tax Return.    Make sure you name your tax returns something specific so you don't overwrite your tax files.   You can prepare as many return as you need to with the desktop versions of TurboTax.

Did you buy a License Code for the Online version or for the Desktop program?

I see that Amazon, Best Buy, Sam’s, Staples and Walmart are now selling a license code for the Online verison.  How to use the Online License Code.  It is for federal only. State is additional.

But mainly the License Code is for the Desktop program.
