How can I file 2019 taxes via turbo tax if 2018 taxes aren’t filed yet. Sent it in via mail and am expecting a long wait due to covid, would like to file 2019 now if possible

You can try using zero as the AGI to e-file 2019 since your 2018 AGI is not in the system.  If zero does not let you e-file, then you need to print sign and mail 2019.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

You should have a copy of the 2018 taxes you sent in, and the AGI is on there. otherwise the taxes are independent. You can file one year, without having filed last year. I don't think anything will stop you. If it does, please explain what's preventing you from filing your 2019 taxes by mail.
