How can I dispute a decision to revise my income for 2022 without providing any documentation or explanation?

They claim a collection agency provided a 1099. They won’t provide a copy, after I finally got them to name the agency, they won’t either. Don’t know what it is for even.

Who is "they"? We are missing a lot of this story. Did you receive a letter from the IRS or state? Did you call the IRS or the state to make certain that the letter is legit and not a scam?
