How can I correct my federal return that was rejected by the IRS? My reject code is F8962-070.

I have a 1095-C but it is saying I need a 1095-A.

@2bmforeman - did you have Marketplace / Obamacare medical coverage in 2021? That is what Form 1095A is....

You may have received this reject code if you entered Form 1095-C where you were supposed to enter Form 1095-A. If that happened, you can delete your 1095-A information in TurboTax and refile. You do not have to enter Form 1095C in your return.

  1. Type 1095a in Search in the upper right
  2. Click on Jump to 1095a
  3. Answer Yes/No to whether you received unemployment
  4. Answer No, I do not receive Form 1095-A
  5. Then follow the How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online? to verify that there is no Form 1095-A in your return.

If you did receive a Form 1095-A, you can add the form by jumping to the 1095-A screen (steps 1-4) and answering Yes instead of No when TurboTax asks whether your received Form 1095-A.
