I live in an apartment set up a desk in a corner of the room the company doesn't cover internet cost they provided a laptop. I tried going through Job-Related Expenses under Deduction I tried to follow the questions at one point Turbotax said I should show it as expense and doesn't move forward as to how to show it as an expense it's like a loop that takes me back to the same questions....thoughts on how to move forward and how to show it as expenses or if there is a better way to get credit?

if you get a w-2, there is no home-office deduction available. it's only for the self-employed.
Sorry if you are a W-2 employee you cannot deduct job-related expenses from your federal tax return.
Job-related expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond. Your state tax laws might be different in AL, AR, CA, HI, MN, NY or PA.
Thanks for responding and the information.
