How can I change my child deduction? My significant other claimed my child, I thought I could too but I can't, how do I fix this?

To delete your child from your return do the following:

  1. Click My Info
  2. Scroll down and click the trash can next to your dependents name
  3. Scroll down hit continue
  4. You should get a message changing your filing status from Head of Household to Single, if you do not have any other dependents and will likely see your refund drop.
