How can I change my AGI on my return before it gets rejected?

My return hasn't been rejected yet but I want to change something before it goes to them, what can i do?

if you submitted with the wrong AGI it will be rejected. then you can make whatever changes you want and refile

My Fed return was rejected for wrong AGI. did not put the last 2 zeros on it. I cant seem to change the number in my return.

I would suggest logging out of the program, clear your cache and cookies, and log back in. You may also want to try using another browser or using the phone app here.

ENTER 0 FOR AGI. The IRS took a long time last year to process 2020 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time.  Especially if you mailed it.  That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
