Turbo tax is advertising the service as free if you did not use TurboTax last year and try the mobile app this year.
After going through the whole process, the free price changed to $88. I contacted support, first person had to escalate the case. Second agent was beyond rude and unwilling to hep at all or even look into the issue.
Didn't the FCC ruling just get upheld that stated TurboTax cannot lie about the free service anymore?

I have a similar situation. Started my return as a free return. Ended up paying $78 ($39 for Deluxe and $39 for State). Shortly thereafter, I see a commercial from Turbo Tax which stated, if I didn't file with Turbo Tax last year, and I file by Feb 18th, it's 100% FREE. I'm supposedly getting a partial refund of $39, but that is not 100%! Here's the commercial: https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=%20turbo%20tax%20free%20if%20you%20didn%27t%20u...
Doesn't seem they are at all trustworthy.
I don't think I'll be trusting them with my tax info.
