Home and Business 2024: won't update, won't uninstall, won't reinstall

After completing all federal data entry, TT wants to update before continuing, but  gives Windows message  1603(?).  turned off all protection, did not work.  Tried a manual update, got "Another Version" message; did add/remove option and removed all TT products for years back, did not work.  Used a third party removal app and deleted all TT, did not work. Used \w_perrelsuperpatchIS_ttax_2024.exe, says installed successfully but can't re-start TT as some set-up files are missing and must reinstall using a new setup, but I can't because of the previous version.

 

All of these steps have been attempted numerous times, all ending in the same loop of failure.

Please see Error 1603 for additional steps that might help resolve this issue.  There are additional troubleshooting steps included in this link that relate directly to Microsoft and Windows.

None of these solutions worked for me.  I am totally frustrated and very nervous as I have not yet filed my taxes.

What other suggestions ... when is Inuit fixing this?

Here is another option you can use to manually update your program using step 2 in the link. That might help resolve the issue.
