After completing all federal data entry, TT wants to update before continuing, but gives Windows message 1603(?). turned off all protection, did not work. Tried a manual update, got "Another Version" message; did add/remove option and removed all TT products for years back, did not work. Used a third party removal app and deleted all TT, did not work. Used \w_perrelsuperpatchIS_ttax_2024.exe, says installed successfully but can't re-start TT as some set-up files are missing and must reinstall using a new setup, but I can't because of the previous version.
All of these steps have been attempted numerous times, all ending in the same loop of failure.

None of these solutions worked for me. I am totally frustrated and very nervous as I have not yet filed my taxes.
What other suggestions ... when is Inuit fixing this?
Here is another option you can use to manually update your program using step 2 in the link. That might help resolve the issue.
