Hi, my return was rejected for not claiming that i was a dependent on my parents. How do i correct the error? It does not show me how? thank you

Go to personal information and check the box saying that you can be claimed.

You need to go to My Info. Click your name and go through the screens to the question that asks if someone else can claim you as a dependent. Answer YES. When you have made that correction and you see the box checked near the top of your Form 1040 that shows you can be claimed, then re-file the return.
