Ok--that was a mistake. You cannot put an old W-2 from "3 years ago" on your 2018 tax return. Only 2018 income should be on your 2018 return. But now your very incorrect tax return has been accepted. You have to wait until it has been fully processed. Do not go online to your account and try to change one thing. NOT ONE. When your return has been completely processed, then you will have to amend it to take off that old W-2. When you are ready for that, post back for help with how to amend your 2018 return.
Meanwhile--that old W-2 should have been included on the the tax return you filed for the year you got it for--was it for 2014? 2015? 2016? Did you file a tax return for the year that you received that one--but just left that one off? If so, you must file an amended return for that tax year. Expect to owe, since you had income with no tax withheld. We do not know enough about that W-2 or how much other income you had that year, but it is likely that you will owe something. Please give us some more information --- but nothing personal. Until we know just what you did for the year of that W-2 we cannot tell what needs to be done to fix the problem.
