No, you do not need to mail in a copy of your return after you have successfully e-filed. This could delay the processing of your return. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3302289

The actually information on the Turbo disc says that you have to mail in copies. , however, the subsequent email I received stating that the Federal Return had been received says that you do not

Please clarify or eliminate the statement from the information on the turbo disc

@Whollyword If you e-filed your tax return you do NOT have to mail anything in.  When you e-file, it is all electronic.  If you cannot e-file for some reason and have to file by mail, then you mail in the signed tax return, and attach your W-2's and 1099's that show tax withheld, etc.

Did you e-file?  Did you get an email back that says your return was accepted?  If so, you are done.  You can track the status of your refund on the IRS site.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
