If you are a non-resident alien, then no you are not eligible for the stimulus payments.
Immigrants without a green card in the U.S., will not be eligible to receive a check. This includes those who are ineligible for a Social Security number and have been paying taxes using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
Thanks for the response. However, I have a Social Security Number and I am paying federal taxes.
It depends.
If you fall within the Adjusted Gross Income amounts of up to $75,000 for individuals or $150,000 for married filing joint returns, then you would be eligible for the stimulus check. The amount you receive will be based upon your 2019 or 2018 tax return as filed.
