I heard: For the 2018 tax year, only interest on mortgage values of up to $750,000 are deductible. How can I claim this now?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You will have to wait for the filed return to be processed and you get your refund.
Then you can Amend the 2018 filed return, and add the mortgage interest.
There is no way to get the return back after it was filed.
If you are extremely lucky it would get rejected and then you could correct it and add the mortgage interest and refile it.
In the mortgage interest section under Your Home, TurboTax will ask for beginning and ending loan balances and compute how much of the interest can be deducted on your return.
