Yes. If you got married in 2023 you will file as married when you prepare your 2023 tax return next year. For 2022, you are still going to file Single. Best Wishes.

Correct, you can file as Married Filing Joint when you file your 2023 return (filed in 2024). Your filing status is determined by what you were at the end of 2022.
