Hello I got married June 16, 2017 , What is my filing status if my mother-in-law claims my husband For the first six months?

There is no half year filing status. Your only choices for 2017 are Married Filing Jointly (MFJ) or Married Filing Separately (MFS). In most cases, if your spouse is claimed on someone else's return, you must use MFS. You may only use MFJ if you both have no tax liability or credits. That is, you are only filing to get you withholding back.

The real question is should your MIL be claiming your spouse. She cannot claim him for half a year. It's all or nothing. If he moved out, of her home, before July 3, 2017; she most likely can't claim him. For  a detailed discussion see
