Hello! I filed my taxes a week or so ago, but I just received my forms 1095-b and it looks like myself and my wife only had health coverage for 3 months out of the year.

On my return I thought we had Medicaid coverage for the whole year, but I guess not. Do I need to amend my return or is it pointless since it looks like President Trump is repealing all of this?

Don't do anything now.  The amendment forms will not be ready until Mid-February anyways and we always recommend people wait until their first return has been processed and refund received before beginning an amendment.  This is because if the IRS finds something else wrong on your return (or if you find another form like a W2 you forgot), you don't want to have to amend a second time.

It is also possible that you did have full coverage and you might get a second 1095B as the deadline for forms to be given to taxpayers is not until 1/31.  You should check your coverage records.  Also, this will give it time to see if there is any further guidance given through Executive Order or legislation.
