Hello. I filed as self-employed last year but will be filing as standard today. I'm not seeing an option under my account to file as anything other than self-employed.

Sounds like you want to downgrade to a lower version?

If you want to continue to use Home & Business (Self Employed), you enter W-2 or other income under the Personal tab.

If you're not filing any self-employment income for 2016, then did you report on your 2015 tax return that your business was "sold, closed or otherwise disposed of"? Note that this is more than just clicking the button for that. You have to work through each individual business asset and report your sale or other disposition of all business assets too. If you didn't do that, then the IRS is expecting a SCH C from you on your 2016 return. If they expect it and don't get it, you'll be hearing from them 24-36 months down the road. Their will also be fines and penalties involved.
