Hello - I filed a 2019 tax return using another tax software. Turbo Tax is the only tax software which supports efile 1040x - does anyone know how I can do this?

Yes, but is will not be cheap.    First you must purchase the 2019 desktop software and install it on your Mac or Windows computer, then exactally duplicate (errors and all) the return already filed.     Print it for filing to fool TurboTax the think that you paper filed.   Only then can you enter the amend mode.

No guarantee that the e-file amend will be functional during the 2019 to 2020 transition period when both TurboTax and the IRS are getting ready for the 2020 tax year, but you have 3 years to amend.

Don't think it will work since the original return had to be efiled for the IRS to accept it and if you didn't efile thru TT then that option may not be presented ... can't say for sure since this is brand new and nothing has been posted about this yet by users or TT.

turbotax is not the only software supporting this,  so maybe the software you used does support e-File. of 1040-X

in any case paper filing increases the chance that you will look at your 1040-x and make sure it is correct.

don't e-file or mail an incorrect form 1040-X.
