[Edit: I realize that I cannot use TurboTax and will use Sprintax.]
On the IRS website (https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/taxation-of-nonresident-aliens), it says that -
"If you are not an employee or self-employed person who receives wages or non-employee compensation subject to U.S. income tax withholding, or if you do not have an office or place of business in the United States, you must file by the 15th day of the 6th month after your tax year ends."
On the instructions for the 1040NR and 1040NR-EZ forms, it says that -
"If you did not receive wages as an
employee subject to U.S. income tax
withholding, file Form 1040NR by the
15th day of the 6th month after your
tax year ends. A return for the 2018
calendar year is due by June 17,
2019."
"If you did not receive wages as an employee subject to U.S. income tax withholding, file Form 1040NR-EZ by June 17, 2019."
Am I right that I do not need to file for an extension right now since the deadline is in June (and not April) for me? Also, is it June 15th or June 17th?
