can you be more detailed? the more the better.
how much did you pay on 4-18? what did that payment represent? efile fee? tax prep fee? etc.
what is asking TT you to pay now? wat was the form of communication from TT that you need to pay something now? Did you receive an email? if so, what is the address of the sender?
Did you select to have the fees deducted from your federal refund? If the IRS is taking too long to send your refund you still have to pay the fees in time.
See What if the IRS reduces your refund or delays it.
Then when the IRS does send your refund they won't take the fees out again.
And, Why you got charged,
You should have received about 4 emails asking for the fees. If you don't pay they will debit your account. You had to agree to it.
@1126- Or.....are you seeing in your account that you have tax due? TurboTax never knows if you paid your federal or state tax due. Your account will always just show the result of the tax return that you prepared using the software, including the amount of the anticipated refund or the amount of tax you owed. Your only proof that you paid your tax due is your own bank or credit card records. Your TT account does not ever change or update to show if you paid.
