Why am I not given the option to e-file with pin.

Yes and if you used this program last year it will automatically fill it in at the end.

You can use any 5 digit self-selected PIN for e-filing but you must enter your 2021 AGI from your 2021 federal tax return Form 1040 Line 11 to e-file the 2022 tax return.  That is an IRS requirement.
