Health Ins Info. I claim my son as a dependent but he has health ins through his father, my ex spouse. Do I need to fill out the Health Ins Info for him on my return?

On your return just say he was insured the whole year.

Thank you for your response.  I think he is covered under a Medicaid program.  Do I need to get additional info on this?

Also, I am covered under a marketplace plan, so how do I differentiate if I need to?

You need no more info if he is on Medicaid.  He should not be on your 1095-A as market place coverage.

Yes. If you are claiming your son on your return as a dependent, it will ask you for his health insurance information. You should indicate the months he had insurance when asked.
