Health Care Requirement for alien

My wife arrived December 18th 2018 on a K-1 Visa (Fiance Visa) , we married on 31 December 2018.  How do I answer the health care question since she had her own in Japan until she got here? I had to wait until after we were married to add her to my health insurance.

If you both had insurance coverage all year, that is what you check. Less than 2 weeks without coverage is alright. Your other option is to check that your wife did not have it for December and mark the reason as "not a legal US resident". Either way, there will be no penalty.
