Head of Household: Grandchild meets criteria for HOH but dont want to claim exemption just get HOH. Turbotax either makes me HOH with exemption or single w/o exemption.

You can’t do that. If the child is the Qualifying Child of another person (the parent) you can only
file as Head
of Household if you claim the child
as a Qualifying Relative who is also claimed as your dependent.
