You appear to be using Online Deluxe, is that correct?

In an online product, only the Self-Employed Edition can prepare a Schedule F for farm income and expenses.   If you try to enter farm income/expenses that requires Schedule F, it will tell you to upgrade to Self-Employed.

Here's how to report the 1099-R:

• Open your tax return ("take me to my return.")
• At the top right click on SEARCH.
• Enter the term 1099-R without quotes and then click the blue magnifying glass icon.
• Then choose Jump to 1099-R.
• As you go through the subsequent screens, you'll have the chance to either import the 1099-R (if your financial institution is an import partner) or type in the info yourself.   If you do not want to import, then do not enter thing in the financial institution search line.   Instead scroll down to a gray button in the lower right and click "I'll type it in myself."  The gray button may not be visible until you scroll down.
